About Alecia

Some more innocuous fun facts about me:

I was born and raised in Tom Bean, Tx just outside of Sherman.  My graduating class had 48 people.

I have three kids.  Alaurie is 18, Braden is 17, and Oliver will soon be 14.  If you follow my instagram and see the posts from inside my house, these three kids are why it looks the way it does.

I am a coach on my son’s mountain bike team, the North Austin Tarantula Hawks, or T-Hawks. It was a pretty easy volunteer gig since I also love to mountain bike.

We occasionally host an exchange student for an entire school year. So, in addition to my three previously mentioned kids, I have one Swedish host daughter (Hej Klara!), one Japanese host daughter (Kon’nichiwa Ririka!), one Chilean host daughter (Hola, Fernanda!), and one German host daughter (Hallo Theresa!)

I also have three fur kids.  Bo is a 4 year old Chiweenie mix, Eloise is our 10 year old retired greyhound, and we added Lucille to our family. She is a 14 year old lab mix who was formerly my mother’s best friend.

I’ve been married to my husband, Brad, for 21 years and counting.

I went to school for interior design at Collin College and El Centro College, however every bit of real practical knowledge has been gained through work experience. I have worked for engineers doing CAD work, custom cabinet distributors, cabinet door distributors, custom closet sales, showrooms, and general contractors. My on the job knowledge base is what I most frequently pull from.
